Interlude: the things we think we see

It takes imagination for architects, engineers and builders to design and build a house. Along the way, strange things sometimes appear.

This poor person is cast in for the life of the house. In reality, the pink paint marks the triangulation points established by the land surveyors.

And this poor person must have been caught in the pier hole when the concrete was poured … tried to squeeze out … and, exhausted, reaches for the lower pier hole. These minor drips of excess concrete when moving the concrete placing boom from hole to hole can sometimes create interesting patterns and shapes.
