Day 18: lucky time

Saturday: the team is driving ahead to be ready for the planned concrete pour on Tuesday. Two more carpenters join in just for the day to assist Ian and Damien. It’s a lucky time for your photographer, who works full-time and hates missing the concrete, hands-on activity by workers preparing for concrete!

Jake and his invisible offsider working to set one of the last cast-in plates level and plumb. These two big formwork structures will create piers that will retain the soil above and help support the entrance to the house at the same time.

With final details on the formwork wrapped up on Monday, the foundations for the entire house are ready for the concrete pour on Tuesday.
