Views from Hobart hill house 1

Looking east

Without a built structure to take photos from yet, these images only approximate the ever-changing and delightful view we will see. So imagine yourself standing on our deck 22 metres (75 feet) straight ahead from where the lower photo was taken.

The panoramic view was one of several key reasons for buying this land in July 2011, our first concrete step in organising our departure from Sydney in January 2014. True, we can’t see the mountain but the built and natural environment before you – the Tasman Bridge to the north, the Derwent River, the Meehan Ranges in the background and Frederick Henry Bay in the far distant east – will be compensation enough!

Our main roof  will sit at a similar height as our neighbours’ house on the left and the sweeping view from some 282 metres (925 feet) above the Derwent River will be forever unobstructed by any houses.

They are Warren, so much so that even people who’ve lived in Hobart forever think they’re special! A day- and night-time photographer’s dream come true! Perhaps we can persuade you to grab your camera, hop on a plane and come on down? I could easily imagine your website with your Tasmania and Tolmans Hill photos on it.
